This past week was pretty choppy for GBPUSD. I tried to catch a small move on Tuesday but got stopped out pretty quickly, not much follow-through. Then on Thursday, I thought I saw a good setup near the R1 pivot, went long, and it just stalled out. I ended up closing it for a small loss rather than let it turn into something worse. The dollar weakness despite rising risks, like that headline mentioned, really made it hard to get a clear read. I'm not thrilled with my trading results this week, definitely could have managed my risk better on a couple of those setups. I'm going to spend Sunday reviewing my trades and planning entries for next week, focusing on clearer signals around those key S2 and R1 levels Ravi mentioned. Maybe I'll wait for a confirmed break above the 20 SMA before committing next time.
