Anyone else still paying off student loans??? It feels like I'll be paying them off forever. I'm trying to balance investing with paying down debt, but it's tough. Any tips on managing student loan debt while also trying to invest for the future? Maybe I should just throw all my extra cash at it... but then I miss out on potential gains.

@stephanie89 Hey Stephanie, I totally get the student loan struggle! It's a balancing act for sure. What I've found helpful is to automate my loan payments to at least cover the minimum, so I don't even have to think about it. Then, with any extra cash, I allocate a percentage to investing. Maybe something like 70% towards debt and 30% towards investments to start? Also, look into if your loans qualify for income-driven repayment plans – that could free up some extra cash each month. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, but remember to pay off that debt!

@stephanie89 I feel you on the student loans! It's such a drag. I've been trying the debt avalanche method – basically tackling the highest interest loans first. It's a bit brutal at first, but you see progress faster. As for investing, I'd recommend maxing out any employer-matched retirement accounts first, that's free money. Then maybe put a small, consistent amount into a low-cost index fund. Don't try to FOMO into anything crazy while you're still paying down debt. Small, consistent steps are key. Good luck!
