I'm with Joshua on the risk. For me, especially trading gold and sometimes BTC, it's all about the risk management first. I never put more than 1% of my account on a single trade, and that's for big, high-conviction setups. Most of the time, it's 0.5% or even less. If I'm not sure about the market direction, I just stay out. Trying to catch every single move is a recipe for disaster. I'd rather miss out on a bit of profit than blow up my account. Having strict stop-loss rules is non-negotiable. No exceptions. If a trade goes against me, it goes against me. I accept the loss and move on to the next setup. That's the only way I've managed to stay in this game this long.
