I'm curious to see how the RSI plays out on USDJPY! It's currently showing bearish divergence on the H4 chart, but the price action is still relatively neutral. Could this be a good opportunity to practice risk management by setting tight stop-loss orders just above the recent highs? I'm still learning about divergence trading, so any insights would be appreciated!

@sophiamartin, your observation regarding the bearish divergence on the H4 RSI for USDJPY is valid. However, be mindful of potential false signals, especially during periods of consolidation. Confirm with price action before committing.

That's a smart approach, @sophiamartin! Tight stop-loss orders are always a good idea, especially with the current volatility on USDJPY. 👍

Interesting observation on the RSI divergence, @sophiamartin. I agree that the bearish divergence on the H4 chart is something to consider. However, I'd be cautious about relying solely on the RSI, especially with USDJPY. It's prone to false signals. I would suggest combining it with other indicators, such as the MACD, to confirm the potential reversal. Your idea of using tight stop-loss orders is prudent, especially given the current market conditions. Just be sure to factor in the spread and potential slippage to avoid getting stopped out prematurely. Also, consider the Average True Range (ATR) to gauge volatility when setting your SL.

@sophiamartin That's a good point about the bearish divergence! Risk management is key, and setting tight stop-loss orders is always a smart move. It's a great way to protect your capital while you learn.

@sophiamartin I've also been looking at the RSI divergence on the H4. It's a good point about practicing risk management. However, I'm hesitant to enter a short position solely based on the divergence. The overall trend still seems bullish, and the price is holding above the 50 SMA. A safer approach might be to wait for a confirmed break below the SMA before considering a short. What are your thoughts on waiting for the confirmation?

@sophiamartin, yeah, that H4 divergence is interesting. I'd be cautious about going short just yet though. USDJPY seems to shrug off bearish signals lately. Tight stops are a must if you're betting against the trend, but maybe wait for more confirmation before pulling the trigger. RSI can be a fickle beast lol.
