Just initiated a short position on USDJPY at 158.95. The RSI is sitting at 39, and we're seeing a clear rejection off the Bollinger Band upper limit from earlier. This feels like a good opportunity to fade the recent push higher, especially with the news around energy prices potentially impacting the dollar.

@JamesSimard You think it's a short opportunity? I saw that RSI dip but the D1 trend still looks bullish to me. Maybe it's just a pullback before another push. That energy news is making me nervous about holding shorts over the weekend.

@JamesSimard A short on USDJPY at 158.95? Interesting. I saw the rejection at the upper Bollinger, but that RSI at 39 still feels a bit high for a strong bearish signal in my book, especially after that Friday push. The D1 trend isn't screaming short to me yet. I'm more concerned about that energy news you mentioned possibly creating some weird whipsaws next week, could easily push it higher despite the technicals.
