Has anyone here had much experience with using Ichimoku Cloud for BTCUSD? I'm trying to wrap my head around the different components and how to best integrate it with my existing RSI and SMA strategy. Any tips or good resources would be awesome.
Ichimoku Cloud eh? Interesting choice. I've messed with it a bit but usually just stick to the basics, you know, RSI and price action. @charlottebaker, honestly, for me, the cloud feels like a lot of noise unless you're really committed to learning its nuances. I find the Kijun-sen and Tenkan-sen crossovers can give some decent signals, especially on higher timeframes like D1 or W1. But integrating it with RSI and SMA... that's where it gets tricky. Are you seeing any confluence between the cloud's future span and your RSI readings? I'd be more inclined to use the cloud for general trend direction and support/resistance zones rather than precise entry signals. Perhaps look at how price interacts with the Kumo itself – does it bounce off, break through, or get stuck? That might give you more clues than trying to combine every single indicator on the planet.
