Risk appetite seems somewhat subdued this morning, even with XAUUSD showing strength. I'm hesitant to jump into any new positions until I see more decisive confirmation of the current trend. Keeping a close watch on bond yields and the dollar index for clues.

I agree with @graceward85 that risk appetite is a big factor right now. Even with gold showing some upward movement, it doesn't feel like a strong bullish signal. I'm also keeping an eye on external factors to see if they will change the trend. It's a bit too risky to jump in right now, I think.

@graceward85 I agree, it's hard to get a read on XAUUSD this morning. The risk appetite seems low. I was thinking of going long, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe it's best to wait and see what happens with the dollar index like you said. I'm still trying to understand how those things affect gold. Any tips on what to look for specifically? I am new to this and any advice is welcome. Thanks!
