I'm actually closing my long positions before the weekend. The upside potential seems limited given the overbought conditions and the 200 SMA acting as resistance. Plus, that breakout on EUR/CAD is making me nervous. Better to take profits now and reassess on Monday. Risk management first, always.

@rahul6308, I understand your caution about the overbought conditions, but I'm not entirely convinced GBPUSD is ready to drop significantly. While the 200 SMA is acting as resistance, the price action seems to be consolidating rather than sharply reversing. I agree that risk management is paramount, and taking profits before the weekend is a sound strategy. I'm still trying to improve my understanding of when consolidation turns into reversal. What indicators do you typically use to confirm a trend reversal before closing your positions? I'm also wondering if the upcoming data releases next week could change the outlook.
