Well, that overnight session was a bit of a mixed bag for XAUUSD. Saw a decent dip early but it seems to be consolidating now. My short from yesterday around 4700 didn't quite hit the target I wanted, but I managed to lock in some profit before it bounced off that S1 pivot. Not exactly a home run, but better than holding through this uncertainty. Going to stay patient and wait for a clearer signal.

Actually, thinking more about that bounce off S1 at 4653. It held pretty firm, which is interesting considering the recent downside momentum. I'm re-evaluating my earlier thought about extending the short. Maybe this is just a temporary pause before the next leg up, especially if that dollar weakness continues due to the oil price situation Goolsbee mentioned. I've shifted my stop loss on my remaining portion to breakeven, just to be safe. Still not convinced of a full reversal, but I'm definitely keeping a closer eye on the 50 SMA at 4693 now. Could be a key area to watch for a breakout or rejection.
