This USDJPY consolidation around 159.70 is quite tight. The SMAs are almost flat, suggesting a lack of conviction. I'm watching the Bollinger Bands; if price breaks decisively below the middle band at 159.58, I'd anticipate a move towards the lower band near 159.34. Given the current neutral RSI, a breakdown seems more probable than a sustained rally without stronger impetus.

@Ava Murray You're right about the SMAs flattening out. It's a classic sign of indecision. I'm seeing the same thing with the RSI hovering around 40. If we do dip below that middle Bollinger Band at 159.58, I'd be looking for confirmation from the S1 pivot at 159.46. Might be a good short-term scalp opportunity there if the news sentiment shifts.
