You know, thinking more about that risk management… it’s not just about stops. It’s also about position sizing. If I’m aiming for a 1:3 risk-reward, I can’t just put the same amount of money into every trade, especially if the stop loss distance is different. And for XAUUSD, the volatility means those distances can change fast. Also, I’ve noticed that even if my stop is set, sometimes the price just blows right through it in the New York session if there’s big news. So, being mentally prepared for that is part of it too. It’s a constant battle to keep emotions in check and stick to the plan, even when the market is trying to shake you out.
