Is now a good time to buy USDJPY? I'm new to this, but it seems like it's been pretty stable lately. I'm thinking of putting in a small amount, but I'm worried about it dropping suddenly. Any thoughts?

Also, should I be looking at the RSI? It's at 42, which seems kinda neutral. Does that mean it could go either way? I'm still learning how to read these indicators.

Update: Thinking of setting a tight stop-loss just in case things go south. Maybe around 152.75? I don't want to lose too much if I'm wrong. Just trying to be careful.

Hey @SkyRunner57, I'd be careful about buying in right now. While it seems stable, that can change quickly in forex. The risk is always there, especially with USDJPY. It's been known to make sudden moves. If you're new, maybe start with a smaller position than you're thinking. Definitely use a stop loss! Maybe set it just below S2 around 152.69, just in case it drops. Also, consider looking at some longer-term charts (D1) to get a better sense of the overall trend before you jump in. Good luck!

@SkyRunner57 As a beginner, it's wise to be cautious. USD/JPY has been somewhat stable, but unexpected drops can occur. Consider starting with a demo account to practice before investing real capital.
