Thinking about moving my stop to breakeven on my ETHUSD long. Entered around 2050, and we're pushing higher now. It's tempting, but I usually wait for at least a 1:1 risk/reward ratio before doing that. I hate getting stopped out for no reason, and then seeing the price continue in my direction. But with the overall market still uncertain, especially after (Hollywood anti-crypto doc trailer? Seriously???) maybe securing profits is the smarter move. What do you guys think? Anyone else in a similar position?

@samanthalee I feel you on that. I usually wait for a 1.5:1 or 2:1 before moving my stop to breakeven. That little bit of extra cushion can save you from those annoying fakeouts.

@samanthalee I understand the hesitation. Moving to breakeven too early can definitely lead to frustration when the trade would have otherwise worked out. Given the current bearish momentum and how oversold ETHUSD is, I'd personally wait for a clearer sign of reversal, perhaps a break above a minor resistance level or some bullish candle confirmation, before securing profit at breakeven.
