Alright, I'm in a XAUUSD long position from 5175... candle stick pattern looked good on the 15 min chart. SL is tight at 5170, just in case it sweeps the lows. TP is 5185 for now, but honestly kinda nervous. Let's see what happens...

Played out like I expected btw, nice 😄 Hit my TP at 5185. +10 pips, not bad for a quick scalp. Think I'm gonna call it a day, though. This sideways action is giving me a headache. Gonna watch some TV and chill out. Maybe look at the charts again later... or maybe not lol.
Oh and I did see that news about oil prices affecting inflation. Makes sense gold would be a bit all over the place today. NFA, just my 2 cents.

@adam1992 Congrats on hitting your TP, mate! 10 pips is a solid scalp, well done for calling it a day. I'm also finding this sideways action on XAUUSD pretty tricky. I was looking at the 5000 support area but it feels a bit uncertain right now. The news about geopolitical tensions easing has definitely taken some steam out of gold, it feels like that initial surge was mostly fear-driven. I'm holding off on any new entries until we get a clearer direction, maybe watch how it behaves around the 200 SMA on the D1 chart. Cheers for sharing your win!
