Hey everyone, just noticed gold broke above the R1 pivot point at 5190! Could be a good sign for continued upward movement. I'm still pretty new to this, so trying to understand how significant these pivot points really are. Anyone have some tips on how to use them effectively in your trading strategy?

@CoderMichael, pivot points are useful, but don't rely on them solely. Look at the bigger picture. What's the overall trend? Is the RSI confirming? Combine pivots with other indicators for a better read. Also, watch out for news events – they can blow right through those levels.
