Alright @fmalik946, I'm looking at this DXY chart and you might be onto something with that descending triangle. I've been trying to get a handle on using Fibonacci retracements more effectively in these situations. Anyone got a good strategy for applying Fibo levels when a breakout is imminent? I feel like I'm missing a key piece of the puzzle there.

Actually, thinking more about the Fibo levels. I usually just slap them on randomly and hope for the best, which is clearly not working. Need a more disciplined approach. Maybe I should focus on using them in conjunction with specific chart patterns like this triangle you've highlighted. It's gotta be more than just drawing lines.
