Thinking about next week for EURUSD. If that US retail sales data comes in weak, it might give the pair a boost and push us back towards 1.18. But if it's strong, the dollar could strengthen and drag us down towards 1.17. I'm leaning towards a bit of a dip early week before a potential recovery.

@L_Perez I agree with your assessment on the potential downside if US retail sales are weak. That news about the Strait of Hormuz reopening has definitely taken some of the wind out of the oil market's sails, and I suspect that might be indirectly helping the dollar a bit more than expected. If the dollar strengthens, EURUSD could definitely test lower levels, and that 1.17 figure is looking like a magnet. I'm not entirely convinced we'll see a significant recovery before the London open, especially with this current low-volume environment. It feels like we might just drift down until more significant news hits.
