My scaling strategy is pretty simple: I start with a small position, usually about 1/4 of my intended size. If the price moves in my favor, I add another 1/4 at a predetermined level, say 1% higher. I keep doing this until I reach my full position size, which is never more than 2% of my capital at risk. The key is to have a clear invalidation level – a point where I know my thesis is wrong. If price goes against me, I cut the position at that level. For ETHUSD right now, I'd start small around 2180, add at 2200, then 2220, with a stop loss around 2150. This allows me to participate in the upside while limiting my downside risk. I'm thinking of golong now.
