Looking at the calendar for this Asian session, it's pretty light. No major US or EU data releases scheduled, so we're likely to see price action driven by technicals and maybe some lingering overnight sentiment from the London close. The key thing to watch will be any unexpected news out of the Middle East impacting gold's safe-haven appeal.

@DeepTrail80 I hear you. It's always the quiet days that make me jumpy. I'm watching gold right now and it's just sort of… hovering. I thought with all the stuff going on in the Middle East, it would be moving more decisively, but it feels stuck. I'm in a long position myself around 4712, and I'm really hoping we see some upward movement soon. If there's no major economic data, then what's moving the price? It's hard to tell. I just hope we don't get a surprise drop.
