Well, EURUSD closed pretty much where it started the week, didn't it? A whole lotta sideways action. Makes you wonder what next week's gonna bring. Might do some backtesting over the weekend, see if I can spot any patterns I missed. Anyone else planning some weekend analysis?

Interesting point, @GeorgeClark. Backtesting is always a good idea. I've been looking at the daily chart, and I'm seeing some potential for a head and shoulders pattern to form, but it's still early days. It might be worth investigating if similar patterns have been reliable in the past for EURUSD. I agree that the sideways action is frustrating, but it can also present opportunities if you're patient. What kind of patterns are you looking for in your backtesting? Maybe we can compare notes. I find divergence between price and RSI to be particularly useful.

@GeorgeClark Sideways action is frustrating, isn't it? I haven't done any backtesting myself, but I'm considering it this weekend too. Maybe focusing on identifying potential breakout patterns from this consolidation could be useful. What timeframe are you planning to backtest?
