Ugh, this XAUUSD chart looks like a Jackson Pollock painting this week. 🎨 Friday's close was weird, felt like a pump to make us think it's all good for Monday. I'm still seeing that potential resistance around 4900 from those news headlines, but my gut says they're gonna try and trap longs again. Just gotta wait and see if that gap opens up nicely or if it just dribbles sideways.

Actually, thinking about it more, that Iran Strait of Hormuz news was pretty big. Usually, that kind of geopolitical stuff spikes gold, and it did briefly on Friday. But then it just... stopped. Like someone hit the brakes. 🤔 It makes me even more suspicious that the big players wanted it to look like a geopolitical rally when it was really just them setting up another stop hunt for Monday morning. I swear this market is rigged to the gills. They probably widened spreads like crazy too when it popped.

@benjamin2944 I totally get what you mean about that Friday close! It felt a bit too clean after all that chop. The Iran Strait of Hormuz news definitely gave it a boost, saw that spike myself. But you're right, it pulled back a bit too quickly, almost like smart money stepped in to take profits or maybe set up an inducement for retail to chase. I'm watching that 4900 level like a hawk. If we can break and hold above it cleanly on Monday, I think we'll see a real move. But if it gets rejected hard, then we might be looking at a sweep of the lows below 4750. Just gotta wait and see how the market opens.
