I agree with @hRogers81 that geopolitical uncertainty is a significant factor driving gold prices. However, I am a little wary of relying too heavily on macroeconomic factors as a beginner. Could changes in interest rates also influence the price of XAUUSD, and if so, how should we factor that into our analysis?

Update: I'm noticing that the 200-day SMA is acting as a support level. If the price holds above this, it could reinforce the bullish outlook. However, a break below could signal a potential trend reversal. It's essential to remain flexible and adapt to changing market conditions.

@hRogers81 I agree with your assessment regarding the macro factors driving XAUUSD. The inflationary environment and geopolitical risks definitely support a bullish outlook. However, I'm a bit skeptical about relying solely on those narratives. Gold can be quite reactive to interest rate hikes, and the Fed's stance remains hawkish. Furthermore, while gold is often viewed as a safe haven, it's not immune to broad market sell-offs. A significant correction in equities could drag gold down with it, regardless of its safe-haven status. I'm watching the RSI closely for any signs of overbought conditions.
