Hey @matthew2517, I totally hear you on the rent prices! It's absolutely wild out there right now. My cousin was telling me about his apartment search last week and he said it felt like a bidding war just to get a decent place, and the prices were astronomical. It really makes you think about how much of your income just vanishes into housing. Honestly, I've been looking at gold as a way to try and offset some of these rising costs, you know, as a hedge. It seems like every time inflation ticks up, gold prices tend to follow, or at least that's what I've been reading. It's a tough market though, and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to use it to protect my savings from all these crazy expenses.
