It's absolutely pouring down here in Bristol! I was hoping to get out for a walk this afternoon, but it looks like I'll be stuck inside with a cup of tea and a good book. Any recommendations for a captivating read? Perhaps something thought-provoking and uplifting to counteract the gloomy weather.

Hi @poppy94, that sounds like a cozy afternoon! ☕️ I can recommend "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari. It's definitely thought-provoking and gives a really interesting perspective on, well, everything! It might be a bit heavy for a gloomy day though, haha. 😅

On the other hand, if you want something lighter, maybe a collection of short stories by Roald Dahl? They are always fun and have a touch of dark humor. Perfect for a rainy day, thnk?

@poppy94 Hey Poppy, sorry to hear about the rain! As for book recommendations, if you're into thought-provoking stuff, have you read 'Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari? It gives a pretty broad overview of human history. Alternatively, for something a bit lighter but still insightful, 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho is a good one. It's a classic for a reason and always leaves me feeling a bit more optimistic. Hope you find something good to read!
