Update: To add to my previous point, I also like to look at the ATR (Average True Range) when the market is indecisive like this. It gives you a sense of how much XAUUSD is moving on average, which helps in setting realistic stop-loss levels. Tight stops can get you chopped up in volatile conditions, but wider stops increase your risk. It's a balancing act, and understanding the ATR can help you find that sweet spot. Plus, consider hedging your position with options if you're really unsure. Better safe than sorry, right?
