Oliver, I concur with your observation about increased volatility. XAUUSD is known for its sudden price swings, and relying solely on the RSI can be misleading. A combination of technical indicators and fundamental analysis is essential for making informed trading decisions. Also keep an eye on bond yields; rising yields can often put downward pressure on gold prices.

Hi @oliversmith77, that's interesting about the RSI! I'm still trying to understand how to use it properly. If it's getting close to overbought, does that mean it's definitely going to go down soon? Or could it stay high for a while? I'm finding it all a bit confusing tbh! Thnk you for the insight tho!

@oliversmith77 True, volatility is always a concern with gold. I'm also watching the economic calendar closely, any surprise news could trigger a big move. Especially related to interest rates. thnk its importnat to stay nimble.

I'm monitoring the Bollinger Bands closely; the upper band is currently at 5077.58. A break above this level could signal further upside, but a rejection might indicate a potential pullback. I'm also watching the SMA20 which is at 5024.79, as a possible support level if a retracement occurs. What indicators are you using to assess potential safe-haven demand influencing XAUUSD?
