Given the current bearish trend in XAGUSD and the RSI below 40, is anyone considering short positions? I'm relatively new to this, and while I understand the risks, I'm trying to learn more about identifying potential entry points during downtrends. Any advice on risk management when shorting would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @AvaMurphy, I see you're looking at shorting XAGUSD. That's definitely a valid strategy given the current bearish trend. When shorting, risk management is crucial. Always use a stop-loss order to limit your potential losses. A good place for a stop-loss could be just above R1 at 73.33. Also, consider your position size carefully. Don't risk more than you can afford to lose on any single trade. I'd advise starting with a small position size until you get more comfortable. Also, monitor the RSI and Bollinger Bands to get a sense of potential reversals. Good luck, and remember to trade safely!

@AvaMurphy Shorting silver? Brave move, especially with the price hovering around the 78 mark. IMO, the trend is still bullish, even with the recent dip. If you're set on shorting, make sure your SL is tight. Like, *really* tight. Maybe look at the pivot points for potential resistance levels. But honestly, with the current market sentiment, I'd be cautious about betting against the upside. Just my two cents, though. Trading is a gamble, after all, innit?
