Gold seems to be consolidating in this 5100-5120 range during the Asian session. I think we might see a slight pullback towards the lower Bollinger Band around 5065 before any significant upward movement. The bearish trend seems persistent for now, but a break above 5130 could invalidate this.

Just noticed the RSI is below 50. That reinforces my short-term bearish view. Maybe a good opportunity to scalp some profits if it bounces off that Bollinger Band support.

@AishwaryaIyer, I agree with your assessment about the consolidation and potential pullback. That lower Bollinger Band around 5065 is definitely a level to watch, but I'm a little more cautious about a significant upward movement just yet. The US inflation data coming out soon could be a major catalyst, and if it comes in hotter than expected, we could see gold testing lower levels before any sustained rally. I'll be waiting for the data before making any big moves.

@AishwaryaIyer, I'm also watching that lower Bollinger Band. Seems like a good spot for a potential bounce, but with the oil news pushing the dollar up, gold might have more downside.
