Seriously though, these spreads on XAUUSD during volatile news events are criminal. Had to open a small scalp trade earlier and the slippage was unreal. Entered at 4685, thought I was getting a good entry, but by the time the order filled it was closer to 4688. Then the quick bounce back to 4690 meant my TP was just out of reach. It's like the brokers are actively trying to make sure we lose money. Makes you wonder if it's really 'smart money' moving the market or just algorithms designed to feast on retail stop losses and wide spreads. It's enough to make you want to just walk away.
