This USDJPY feels a lot like that other pair I was watching last week, the one with the euro. It was just chop chop chop, no real direction. I guess when oil is doing crazy stuff, other markets just sit on the sidelines and wait? Or maybe it's just quiet because it's Sydney session?

Hey @amandacyclist, I see what you mean about the chop. Sometimes Yen pairs can get stuck when there's big news elsewhere, like that Brent Crude stuff. I think we're seeing a bit of that uncertainty now, but USDJPY does look like it wants to push higher. The US dollar strength is hard to ignore.

Hey @amandacyclist, I feel you on the chop. It's like watching paint dry sometimes when the majors are being weird because of oil prices. I was actually eyeing that Iran news and how it's messing with crude, which then probably makes the dollar index do its thing. USDJPY is probably just waiting for clarity on all that geopolitical mess. It's tough when external factors are the main drivers.
