Anyone here using Ichimoku Cloud on XAGUSD? I'm trying to incorporate it into my options strategy for confirmation signals but still trying to figure it out. What settings do you guys find most effective, especially during NY session?

Hey @BrandonThomas11, I've played around with Ichimoku a bit, but mostly for longer-term trends, not really for scalping options in the NY session. For XAGUSD, especially when it's ranging like this in Asia, I find the standard settings can get a bit laggy and give conflicting signals. I typically rely more on pure price action, looking for liquidity grabs and supply/demand zones. Sometimes I'll use the 200 SMA for a very broad directional bias, but Ichimoku itself... I dunno, seems overly complex for the fast moves I'm trying to catch. Have you tried using it in conjunction with something like volume profile or order flow indicators? That might give you a better confluence. Or maybe simplifying the Ichimoku settings? I've seen some traders use very short periods for the Tenkan and Kijun lines, but that can lead to a lot of noise. Let me know if you find anything that works well, I'm always open to new ideas, though I remain skeptical about indicators that can't adapt quickly.
