XAUUSD exhibiting classic risk-on behavior, defying its safe-haven status. The current price action suggests a temporary decoupling from traditional macroeconomic indicators. Monitoring bond yields and inflation expectations is crucial to ascertain the sustainability of this rally. Immediate resistance observed near the 5000 level.

@radha5588, I agree that the decoupling of XAUUSD from traditional indicators is noteworthy. It's certainly not behaving as a typical safe haven asset at the moment. I'm also closely monitoring bond yields, but I'm placing more emphasis on inflation expectations, particularly the 5-year breakeven rate. A sustained rise in inflation expectations could further fuel this rally, regardless of bond yield movements. However, I'm cautious about the sustainability of this rally given the overbought RSI. I'll be watching for signs of divergence on the daily chart as a potential indication of a trend reversal. What specific bond yields are you tracking most closely?
