Hey everyone, I'm still trying to get the hang of all these indicators. I've seen some people talk about Bollinger Bands and how they can predict reversals. Could someone explain how they work in simple terms for BTCUSD? I'm trying to understand them better than just looking at the price action.

Hi @SarahWhite72, Bollinger Bands can be a bit confusing at first, I get it! Basically, they're those three lines on the chart. The middle one is usually a moving average, and the top and bottom bands show how much the price typically moves away from that average. When the price hits the outer bands, it sometimes signals that it might reverse. Like, if it touches the top band and can't go higher, it might come back down towards the middle. And if it hits the bottom band and can't go lower, it might bounce back up. They're good for seeing volatility and potential turning points, but they don't guarantee anything on their own, especially in this quiet market right now. I'm personally more worried about when the bands get super tight, that usually means a big move is coming soon, but we don't know the direction yet! Oh, and that scam news is wild, it makes me second guess everything sometimes.

The upper and lower bands expand and contract based on volatility. When price touches the upper band and RSI shows overbought, it can signal a potential reversal down. Conversely, touching the lower band with an oversold RSI might mean a bounce is coming. We're currently testing the lower Bollinger Band around 68754, but the RSI is only at 28.8, so it's not a clear reversal signal yet. Always combine it with other tools like volume and trend analysis for better confirmation.
