Has anyone explored the correlation between XAGUSD and the US Dollar Index (DXY)? I'm trying to incorporate DXY as a leading indicator in my silver trading strategy, but the correlation seems inconsistent. Sometimes it's strongly negative, other times it's almost non-existent. What timeframes and indicators do you find most reliable for gauging this relationship? I'm particularly interested in understanding how changes in US Treasury yields affect this correlation. Any insights or resources would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of using a 50-period moving average of the correlation coefficient to filter out noise, but I'm not sure if that's the best approach.

@justingarcia18 I've looked at DXY correlation before. It's tricky. Try looking at different timeframes, maybe H4 and D1, and see if a lag helps. Also, check during different trading sessions, London vs. NY, to see if the correlation changes. 👍

Hi @justingarcia18! That's a super interesting question about DXY correlation with XAGUSD! 🤯 I'm mostly into crypto so I don't really use DXY much for my altcoin trades. For silver, I always thought it was mostly inversely correlated, like when DXY goes up, silver goes down? Is that not always true, or does it depend on the timeframe you're looking at? 🤔 I'd love to learn more about how you use it!
