Just finished watching that PriceONN webinar on geopolitical impacts on FX. They touched on how events like the ones causing spikes in gold can spill over into currency pairs. I'm particularly interested in how the current sentiment around central bank decisions, especially the BoJ, might be indirectly affecting GBPUSD through broader market risk appetite. The presenter also mentioned looking at RSI divergence for early trend exhaustion signals, which is relevant given today's price action.

Hey @lilybell80, that webinar sounds interesting. I caught some of the news about the dollar weakening last week too, and wondered if it would impact GBPUSD. But honestly, I'm still a beginner and trying to piece it all together. It felt like the market was ignoring actual news sometimes and just doing its own thing. Like, why would the dollar weaken with all that geopolitical stuff going on? Seems fishy. I'm also not sure how to even start looking at how central bank news, especially from Japan, connects to this specific pair. Feels like there's so much manipulation going on, it's hard to tell what's real. I just hope we don't gap down hard on Monday because of something I missed.
