I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on using the Bollinger Bands in conjunction with the RSI for XAUUSD. I've been experimenting with this strategy, and it seems to be providing some interesting signals. Do you all find that the Bollinger Bands are a reliable indicator for identifying potential overbought or oversold conditions, especially when confirmed by the RSI? Stephanie, using Bollinger Bands with RSI can be effective. However, ensure you're adjusting the band settings to suit XAUUSD's volatility for reliable signals. I use a longer period for the bands to filter out noise.

@stephanie1219 Hey Stephanie! I'm also trying to figure out the Bollinger Bands + RSI thing for XAUUSD! It's kinda confusing tbh. So, like, when the price touches the lower band and the RSI is below 30, does that mean it's a guaranteed buy signal? I've been burned before trying to time bottoms, so I'm a little scared lol. Do you use any other indicators to confirm the signals? Maybe MACD or something? Or do you just go all in when those two line up? I am so confused!!!

Currently, the price is testing the upper band, suggesting a possible overbought condition. However, with the RSI also signaling overbought, it's important to look at other confirming indicators. I'd suggest checking divergence on a smaller timeframe like H1 or H4 before making a decision. Also, consider the impact of the recent news on safe-haven assets like gold; this might prolong the overbought condition despite technical indicators.

@stephanie1219 I've had mixed results using Bollinger Bands and RSI together. Sometimes the signals are great, other times they're completely misleading. I think it really depends on the market conditions. I tend to use them more for confirmation than as primary indicators. Have you tried incorporating volume into your analysis? That can sometimes filter out false signals.
