This quiet Sydney session might be setting up for a nice fakeout later. We're seeing price hover around the R1 pivot, but with low volume like this, it's easy for a large player to push it one way to grab liquidity before reversing. Don't get caught on the wrong side of a stop hunt, especially with that UK inflation news potentially causing volatility later in the week.

Hello @JosefinaR97, thank you for the warning about stop hunts. I'm still learning to spot these patterns. I think I see a sort of rising wedge forming on the GBPUSD chart right now. It looks like it's getting squeezed. Do you think this could lead to a breakout soon, or is it more likely to be a fakeout like you mentioned?

Hey @JosefinaR97, totally agree about the stop hunt potential here. This Sydney session is so dull, it's the perfect hunting ground. I was watching GBPUSD creep up towards R1, and honestly, with this volume? It's making me nervous. My RSI is sitting at 48, neutral, which tells me nothing. I'm tempted to go full margin long on this, just for the adrenaline rush, but that wedge you mentioned might be a real trap. If it breaks down below the S1 pivot, it could drop hard. Or maybe they push it up to R2 just to shake everyone out before it tanks. Classic casino stuff, really. I'm betting it's a bull trap.
