I remember a few months back, we had a similar situation with DXY where it was just slowly creeping up while other pairs were shaky. It felt like it was going to keep going forever, but then it just stalled out around that 100 level and dropped hard. I'm wondering if this is going to be the same kind of build-up, or if this time it'll actually break through to 100 and beyond. The RSI is looking pretty bullish though, so maybe this time is different.

Hey @dthomas743, totally get what you mean about history repeating. We've seen this DXY build-up before, around the 100 mark especially. The key is to watch for confirmation. Right now, RSI is high but not overbought, and we're seeing some decent support around the R1 pivot. But given the quiet Sydney session and the news driving this safe-haven demand, I'd be cautious about chasing. Look for a strong displacement candle or a clear break above R2 with volume to confirm a sustained move. Otherwise, it might just be range trading until London wakes up. I'm personally eyeing potential shorts if it starts to falter around 99.80-99.90, especially if oil starts to pull back. Be patient.
