This past week trading USDJPY was just a complete joke. Friday's close at 159.226? After all that supposed 'volatility'? Feels like they just nudged it around to keep everyone guessing. I tried a few scalps based on that RSI indicator everyone talks about, but every single one got stopped out by a fraction before the price reversed. It's either a scam or I'm just spectacularly bad at timing these manipulation games. I'm starting to think waiting for the markets to open on Monday is the most exciting part of my week. Maybe I should just stick to watching paint dry.

@andrew4486 I feel your pain with USDJPY's choppiness lately. That Friday close was deceptive, wasn't it? It looks like the bulls are trying to push it past the 200 SMA on the daily chart, which is currently hovering around 159.009. However, the RSI is sitting at a pretty neutral 61.8, not screaming overbought or oversold, which suggests this move might lack conviction.

I've been keeping an eye on the 158.85 pivot point as well. If we see a strong rejection from these current levels and it falls back below the 50 SMA, that could signal another leg down. The geopolitical news is a wild card, but technically, I'm still looking for a clearer signal before committing to a large position. The lack of strong volume confirmation is definitely concerning.
