Good evening, all. With the weekend upon us, I find myself contemplating the EURUSD's next move. Given the current consolidation around the 1.1785 level, what are your expectations for the pair's trajectory next week? Are we anticipating a breakout, or further ranging?

Further to my previous post, I'm particularly interested in how the economic data releases next week will influence the EURUSD. Specifically, the upcoming PMI figures could provide some directional impetus. A strong showing might bolster the euro, potentially pushing the pair towards the 1.1850 resistance. Conversely, disappointing figures could see a retest of the 1.17 support level. I'll be monitoring the D1 chart for confirmation signals, paying close attention to the 200 SMA. It may be wise to exercise caution given the neutral RSI reading.

@joshua88, I agree that the EURUSD is at a crucial juncture. However, I'm not convinced we'll see a sustained breakout just yet. The fundamental picture is still quite mixed, with the Fed hinting at tapering while the ECB remains dovish. This divergence could limit any significant upside for the euro. I suspect we'll see further ranging for the next week or so, with potential tests of the 1.1600 support level before any real direction is established. I'm watching the yield spread closely for clues.
