The GBPUSD seems to be stuck in a narrow range. Are we expecting any major news events that might cause a breakout from this 1.35-1.36 area?

@ella7128 I agree, it's been range-bound. I'm not sure about major news, but I'll check the economic calendar. If there are no surprises, maybe it will just continue sideways.

@ella7128, you're right about the range. 1.35 to 1.36 has been a brick wall. As for major news, keep an eye on the UK employment data coming out mid-week. That could be the catalyst for a breakout, or a breakdown. Also, any surprise announcements regarding Brexit negotiations could send GBPUSD flying. My algo is flagging potential volatility, but direction is still unclear. A sustained break above 1.3520 or below 1.3450 would probably confirm the direction of the next move. Until then, caution is advised.
