GBPUSD Feb 17
I'm relatively new to forex trading, and I'm trying to understand the significance of the Simple Moving Averages. Currently, GBPUSD is below the 20, 50, and 200-day SMAs. Does this indicate a strong bearish signal, or are there other factors I should consider before making a decision? I'd appreciate any insights.

Update: I've been reviewing historical data and noticed that GBPUSD often experiences retracements after prolonged periods below the SMAs. While the current trend is bearish, as evidenced by the RSI around 38, I'm wondering if a short-term upward correction is possible. Perhaps waiting for a break above the 20-day SMA at 1.35803 before considering a short position would be a more prudent approach? I'm also looking at the Bollinger Bands; the price is near the lower band, potentially indicating oversold conditions. Any thoughts on this?

@HarperYoung24, it's not always that simple! The SMAs give you an idea, but you should also look at RSI and maybe some other indicators to confirm the trend. good luck!
