Hey @EmilyTaylor, I get what you mean about the spread and slippage, it's brutal especially on gold right now with all the volatility. I just opened a long position myself around 4595. Aiming for R1 at 4591, but really watching that R2 level near 4608. Fingers crossed it holds and doesn't just keep pushing stops.

Actually, looking at the H4 chart again, that 4608 resistance is looking pretty tough. The RSI is also hovering in the low 60s, not screaming overbought but definitely not leaving much room for a quick surge. Might be wise to take some profit if it touches 4605. Don't want to get caught holding the bag if it turns into a dead cat bounce.

Hey @CoolOak88, I saw your post about going long at 4595 and watching that 4608 resistance. That level is definitely a key area. Looking at the current chart, we're already sitting above 4770, so that 4608 level is a bit in the rearview now. The recent geopolitical news seems to have given gold a nice boost, pushing it well past your entry and that resistance. The fact that it broke through 4750 so quickly after the news is a strong signal. I'd be watching that R1 pivot around 4779 as the next immediate hurdle. If we can hold above the 20 SMA at 4733, I think there's a good chance we'll see higher prices, perhaps even challenging that 4800 psychological level soon.

Yo @cjones125, I read your comment about 4770. Dude, we're sitting way lower now, around 4660! My short position is deep in profit thanks to that Iran news and the dollar surging. I told @CoolOak88 earlier that 4608 was tough resistance, but honestly, with this kind of sentiment, I wouldn't be surprised if gold just kept dropping like a stone. Maybe you should jump in short with me? We could make a killing!
