man i really need to figure out a solid risk management plan. i keep seeing people talk about not risking more than 1-2% of their account on a single trade. is that actually realistic when you're starting out and trying to make money quick?

like, if you only risk 1% per trade, and you have a small account, that's like pennies, right? how are you supposed to grow it fast enough to even cover your costs? i guess it's about surviving the drawdowns, but it feels so slow. maybe i should just go for 5% and hope for the best? but then if i get stopped out a few times in a row, i'm wiped out haha. it's a tough balance for sure, trying not to be too aggressive but also needing to see some growth.
