Man, this current XAUUSD setup feels eerily similar to that nasty drop we saw back in late '22. Remember how it just kept grinding lower for weeks even with all the macro noise? This feels like that vibe again, like smart money is slowly but surely pushing it down before a bigger move. Gotta keep an eye on those lower lows.

Hey @nathanscott69, I agree with you on the 'vibe' feeling similar to late '22. It's definitely got that heavy undertone. The price action today was quite aggressive, dropping below the 50-day SMA and even testing near the S1 pivot at 4876.06. Given the US PPI data came in hotter than expected yesterday, it's understandable why the dollar strengthened and gold took a hit. I'm also a bit concerned about the geopolitical situation, though usually that would support gold. Is it possible that the market is just ignoring safe-haven demand for now, focused purely on inflation fears and potential rate hikes?
