With the markets closed, I'm really thinking about the potential for a gap opening on Monday for DXY. That news about the Middle East is still lingering, and typically the dollar acts as a safe haven in times of uncertainty. I'm worried about getting caught off guard if it gaps up significantly and my current positions aren't aligned. I'll be watching the pre-market action closely.

@nycStephanie76 I feel you on that! That Middle East situation is definitely making me nervous about a potential gap up on Monday. I've seen the dollar jump like crazy on less before. Might just close my small long position before the weekend to be safe.

@nycStephanie76 I'm so with you on the Middle East news making me nervous about a potential gap up! I keep checking DXY charts even though it's late, just in case it moves overnight. That news about geopolitical tensions usually makes the dollar stronger, right? I'm just hoping it doesn't gap up too much because I'm not in a position and I don't want FOMOing in. I saw bitcoin doing weird things after that news too. I think I'm just gonna go to bed and hope for the best.

Hi @nycStephanie76, I understand the concern about a potential gap. Technically, DXY has been consolidating nicely around the 50-day SMA, and the RSI is in neutral territory. It's hard to predict overnight moves, but the chart itself isn't screaming 'massive gap up' just yet.
