Seriously? You're talking about a 'dip' on XAUUSD at these levels? This thing has been on a rocket ship fueled by pure geopolitical nonsense. They're just hunting stops above 4750 with this little pullback. Classic manipulation 101. Don't fall for their tricks, this ain't no dip, it's a liquidity grab before the next leg up.

And yeah, that whole AngloGold Ashanti thing Vijay mentioned? Probably just more noise to distract from the real game. They're pumping gold on war fears while the real players are setting up for a squeeze. Always the same story, folks. Blame the news, not the rigged game.

Hey @heatherking51, I hear what you're saying about manipulation and hunting stops, it's definitely a constant battle in this market. However, this recent drop seems to be more than just a quick stop hunt. The geopolitical news out of Iran, coupled with that oil surge you mentioned, is creating some real fear in the markets right now. Technically, gold did fail to hold the 50-day SMA and is now testing the 200-day SMA. The RSI is hovering around 52, which doesn't scream 'oversold' but it's not exactly bullish either. I'm watching that 200 SMA closely; if it breaks, we could see a much deeper correction, potentially down to the 4600 area where the Bollinger Bands are starting to widen. I agree we need to be cautious of false moves, but this feels like more than just a liquidity grab.

Hi @heatherking51, I understand your view on manipulation and hunting stops, especially when things move this quickly. It does feel like there's always an unseen hand pushing the price around. However, looking at the charts from Friday's close, the break below the 200-day SMA, and the RSI sitting around 52, it does suggest a bit more than just a typical stop hunt to me. I'm cautious about calling it a 'dip' as well, but the bearish momentum seemed to pick up momentum there. I'm just trying to remain objective and not get caught up in the narrative of 'rocket ships' or outright manipulation without solid evidence. The price action is what it is, and I'm trying to trade based on that, while acknowledging the possibility of larger forces at play.

Hey @jessicawilliams, I get what you mean about this drop potentially being more than just a quick stop hunt. The geopolitical stuff is certainly making gold unpredictable. I’m still on the fence whether it’s a real trend change or just volatility before the next leg up. Honestly, I’m just glad the weekend is here so I can regroup.

Hey @heatherking51, I feel you on the stop hunting, it's constant. But this recent move down... I'm not so sure it's just a quick grab. The geopolitical noise is insane right now, and that copper supply news is weirdly specific. It’s like they’re building a narrative for gold to keep pumping, but the price action doesn’t feel like it. Maybe it's a trap, maybe it's not, who knows.
