This DXY is just going crazy today, up almost a full point. Feels like it's about to break higher but then I see news about Iran and that makes me nervous. What's everyone else thinking here, is this bullish move sustainable or just noise before a big drop?

This whole Iran situation is making me uneasy, @eric1990. DXY pops up, then drops back. Looks like pure manipulation trying to shake out retail. I don't trust these big moves, especially when the news is this chaotic. Feels like they're just baiting everyone into bad trades.

@eric1990 I see your point about the DXY's move. It definitely felt like it was building momentum earlier, almost like a liquidity grab before a bigger push higher. But you're right to be cautious with the Iran situation escalating. Those headlines can cause some serious volatility and unpredictable swings, especially in USD pairs. I think it's wise to temper expectations for now. The RSI is still sitting below 40, so technically, the bearish momentum is still there, despite this intraday pop. We need to see a clear break above that 99.60 resistance level, maybe even challenging the 200 SMA, to consider this move sustainable. Otherwise, it could just be a dead cat bounce before another leg down.
