Hi @olivia2002, interesting you're looking into ADX. I've seen it mentioned too, but honestly, for XAUUSD, I tend to stick to what I know. My usual toolkit is the 50 and 200 SMA, and I watch the RSI like a hawk. When things get choppy like they did last week, I usually step back and wait for clearer signals. Trying to scalp in that kind of noise can be a real money pit, you know? I'd be worried about getting caught on the wrong side of a sudden reversal. What are you hoping the ADX will tell you that the SMAs aren't already showing? Does it give you an earlier indication of trend strength than, say, the price moving away from the 50 SMA?
