Alright, let's talk about risk-adjusted returns on XAUUSD. I'm looking at a potential long position, but the current volatility is making me a bit twitchy. I've been doing some backtesting on similar setups, and the win rate is decent, but the drawdowns can be brutal. Anyone else factoring in the VIX when trading gold? I'm thinking of using a smaller position size than usual to compensate. Gotta protect that capital, you know? Update: About that risk-adjusted return discussion, I ran some Monte Carlo simulations with different volatility scenarios. Turns out, even with a slightly lower win rate, reducing position size in high-volatility environments significantly improves long-term profitability. I'm also considering using a trailing stop-loss to lock in profits as the price moves in my favor. It's all about managing that downside, folks! Think I will put a SL around 3875. Anyone else using similar risk management techniques?
